During his high school years, he participated in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets (https://aircadetleague.com). He earned his glider pilot's license at 15 and his private pilot's license at 16. This was also when he received the nickname, "Mawi," which he still uses today.

He graduated from high school at the age of 17. He was accepted into the Royal Military College, where he began training as an Air Force officer and fighter pilot (https://forces.ca/en/about-us/air). While there, he studied Engineering and Military & Strategic Studies.

He left the military to study Marine Biology at Canada's most prestigious university, McGill University (https://mcgill.ca/about/about-mcgill), where he was most interested in marine mammal physiology. There, he began scuba diving and exploring the world's oceans.

Also, at McGill, he worked as a director's assistant at Pathe Film Studios. He learned about and was enamored with the medium of film. He knew that this would be a part of his life from that point forward. He began writing screenplays and short stories and has never stopped.

He attended medical school (https://www.sgu.edu/about-sgu/ ) after graduating from McGill, and he began traveling internationally, learning medicine in several countries. His primary training took place in several well-respected hospitals in New York City and Long Island. He was a student of Bruce Lipton (https://www.brucelipton.com), which began his fascination with alternative medicine and the tremendous power of the human mind.

He also trained in Aerospace medicine (https://www.wright.edu/degrees-and-programs/profile/aerospace-medicine), earning a Master's Degree in Aerospace Medicine from Wright State University. From there, he was selected to be a NASA Flight Surgeon at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. His responsibilities included direct care of the astronauts, on-call for medical problems aboard the International Space Station, emergency response coordination for space flight operations, and conducting educational programs for medical personnel.

While at NASA, he wrote, directed, and produced an educational film about Space Medicine. The film went on to win seven national awards (https://vimeo.com/user40219105)

After leaving NASA, he began formal training in Screenwriting and filmmaking. He attended certificate programs at New York Film Academy (https://www.nyfa.edu) as well as hundreds of hours of seminars such as Robert McKee's writing Seminars (https://mckeestory.com), ScreenwitngU (https://www.screenwritingu.com), and Raindance (https://www.raindance.org). He's currently a member of Roadmap Writers (www.roadmapwriters.com).

After traveling the world and living in several countries, he decided to apply his lifetime of extraordinary adventures to sharing his "joie de vivre" by writing amazing screenplays.

His goal now is to write stories that could inspire others to live an amazing life and realize that nothing is impossible.
